Its a great daily driver, but I get 19mpgs 20 if I am lucky and my Falken Azenis Sports aren't snow friendly at all. It snowed about 8 inches so far in Chicago the past few days, i miss my EVO already.

It's my only car so I had no choice to, beside it's not like I wanted to be driving other car's. mine's an '03 got her when she was 500 miles new. Now she's at 5,200 mile minus the trip to JGTC last december. Which was around almost 2,000 miles trip. I'm not planning on taking it out to trips like that again.

I bought it with a single use in mind... to me it's the single best performing year-round point to point car available... from dry-cool spring days to more inches of snow than digit of the outside temps, the Evo will take it and grin... to me, it fills my need of rediculous performance with everyday practicality... 4-doors, nice sized trunk, awd, wonderful seats, through that in on top of the performance, and it was a god-send for me...

...use it as a track car??? I could see why some ppl would use it for dry summer track days... but, to me, it's roots are based in a Rally scene... and it's not always sunny and smooth there... If I wanted a track only car, I would of bought an Elise...

So move to California. It rarely rains and never snows in SoCal, and you can run Willow Springs Int'l Raceway (the fastest road in the west), the incredible road course at Calif. Speedway (using over 1/2 of the NASCAR oval and an infield roadcourse), Buttonwillow Raceway and Streets of Willow.

In NorCal, winter weather is wetter, but still no snow. Thunderhill Raceway, Infineon/Sears Point and legendary Laguna Seca are all incredible tracks.

I have had my car a good half a yr or so and at first had to comute to work a good 45 min. and now get to work within 3min. so driving has cut back drastically Hated the fact i put 10,000 on my car within 3.5mo. Didnt want to drive it into the ground. Plus maintence is a mo fo on this car.

However I thought about it today and if I were to get another car.. for about the same price. the Chrysler Replacement for the old 300m. the "Bently" looking thing it is definately the nicest car lux. wise in the mid 20G section of the market. Guess cause I would like something to balance out both cars appealt.(Y get two sports cars. unless one is a track car and the other a daily driver.) Kinda give them more personality since they are at fart end of the spectrum. and yes just past gas. but anyways that way The evo would seem that more extreme compared to a plushy boat.

My evo is my daily drive car, but not for long. Getting bored driving it during traffic.

Will get a Mini Cooper S for daily drive pretty soon.

My evo is my daily driver. 15min commute both ways. I drive her in sleet, snow , rain, or sunshine. She is the best year round car. Had to get new tires because the advans didn't last worth a ****, but still a good year round car. I hate paint chips though. Stupid salt rocks!!!!!

I bought my Evo for the sole purpose of being a daily driver and it fits the bill nicely.

Not a bad choice. Beginning with March production, they will have a limited-slip available.

Thumbs up

No longer daily driver. Purchased a 94 mirage 1.5l for the daily ritual ($1800). Trying to keep miles off the evo... Oh 25k on her at the present time... I have used the evo on a couple of track days and also burned up a set of advan's and working on the second set... Awesome ride!!!
