oi filter

hi i want to change my oil tomorrow i want to know if the oil filter for 05 evo gsr same as 03 and o4? if do u guys know the part #

i was told by mitsu that there are two sizes that will work, tell them you want the bigger one.

It fits better on the evo. The skinny filter is longer and may hit something easier.

Mitsu OEM part # MZ690116.....

different # from the one that the car came with from Japan (i think the Japanese one was a bit bigger...but not by much)....

anywho...its the same as the 03 and 04....

Hey guys, who's using the k&n filter? I have always used the oem filters but now the dealership has started charging over $7 for them so I figured wth try the k&n. Anyone have the part number I should use?

$7 for the oil filter the dealers are selling now is a complete rip. They are not even a good as a Fram, and thats saying a lot.

HOWEVER, that is one less thing for mitsu to argue over if you mess up a motor.
