Recaro's USDM vs JDM
Recaro's USDM vs JDM
Interesting note...
'No wonder Mitsubishi's new Lancer Evolution, based on long-running rally cars overseas, comes with Recaro racing seats. There was one adjustment, though. According to Mitsubishi spokesman Richard Kelley, the Recaro seats in the Evos sold in the States are a couple inches wider than those overseas—the better to accommodate American drivers who tend to be larger in girth than those in Mitsubishi's home country of Japan.'

i still think if mitsubishi give the user consumer a choice of jdm seat or the us seat upon purchase would be nice cuz there are some girls drive this car and not all western folks are big i'm 6' and 180 and i do slip aorund in the us seat a bit

try being 5'8" and 110 lbs, I slip around in our Sparco 2000 race seats in our S2000....JDM seats would probably fit me A LOT better....plus US Mitsu is crazy, people THAT big shouldn't be driving the Evo, they might break the 856lb limit...I think the black side parts should just be bigger and slightly stiffer
Edit:: Aren't the Euro seats kinda in-between?

im 5'9", a little over 160 and i think they fit perfectly. Try different seat positions it makes a difference depending on how you sit (im sure you guys know that, it just might not have occured to you). It's weird, no girls have complained about slipping around much and i have the leather seats, they aren't smaller are they?
