well, i guess if you're skin and bones, you'll barely touch the side bolsters or just feather the seat like if you're not there.

but the seat should accomodate everyone. It's cheap and thin plastic backing, that's what I'm thinking.

It's about inch thinner plastic than most aftermarket seats I've had.

On my last Evo I had the same thing happen except I was trying to reach my cell phone which had slide into the back seat floor area. I have no idea how my cell phone could travel from the front to the rear of the car gotta love those G's. But it has not happened in my new one yet but I have yet to squirm around in the seat so far. Maybe they fixed the problem??? You would think with Recaro seats that are like $1500 from Recaro's web site they would be made better.

I've never had a problem with the seats in my '03 that I traded with over 22K miles. Same with the MR, they seem to be holding up fine. OTOH, I weight around 160 and that might be why the seats are holding up well. I imagine some EVO drivers weight a bit more and that can definitely stress the seats more...... Maybe they did not strenghten those Recaros when they made them larger to accept the more corpulent American drivers?
