broken seat

this happened to me as well.

The plastic seat back where the side bolster is, is not unbreakable. If you lean on it hard enough it will crack.

So far no issues (27,000 miles). I love the Recaros... in fact that was the deciding point for me in buying the Evo over the STi... I did have that little plastic vent-looking think pop off the back, but that was my own fault, and it pops right back in.

I dont think there is a correlation since i am 6'2" and 280lbs, you dont get much bigger and still fit in an Evo, and i have not had any problems with my seats in the 2 years that i have owned the car.

Mine just popped out of place and the dealership was able to fix it.

Thanks Max Madsen in Countryside, IL!

The little bar-clip on the side that hold the side of the fabric always pops off, I just pop it back on..no biggie.

Mine hasn't broken but it is awfully close to the arm rest in my opinion. Everytime I get in it squeaks cause it's rubbing up against the arm rest.

Anyone else have this problem?

my friends broke 2 weeks ago, a large crack in the back of the seat. mitsu said it would cost something like 1700 to replace. he talked to the regional manager a week later and they finally replaced it. They said it broke because he "punched the seat with his hand." WTF. Why would any one punch there seat? Mitsu always fighting any warranty claim. I all keep letting it slide because of the EVO.

if you are modded mitsu will not cover your seat b/c the extra power exerted too many g forces on the bolster causing it to fail

hahaha jk
