whats up with this?
i was at the mitsu dealer today gettin an oil filter cause i needed to change my oil. there in the showroom they had an 05' evo. i was lookin and readin the price tag and i saw that 93% was made in japan. the 03's and 04's are 100% japanese. whats up with that, where is the other 7% made? brazil or something?
my 05 window sheet is similar. states 93% major source of foreign parts content, 2% us/canadian parts. the final assembly point is really all that matters since that determines import or domestic status. 05 was assembled in Kurashiki, Japan.
yeah...the 2% is probably the headlamps....since it is usually on the EVOs with NO ssl.....
seeing as how you have to remove the whole freakin bumper just to change the halogen light bulb....hahaah
dunno...just a guess.....

probably the wheels and few other things like carpet or the fluid containers or something.
To save money, they do ship parts of the car differently from different places and assemble it at the dock.
Like the wing and fluids... etc.
