I hear this all the time, and I'm pretty sure that it's just the emergency brake self-adjusting. Whenever you back up, it activates the self-adjusting mechanism on the e-brake and clunks as ir tighens up.

oh jeeze, I've just thought about this.
Have your check your brake pads? I'm thinking if it's not your exhaust, it's your brake pads gone and you're basically grinding into the metal warning part of your caliper.
That maybe your sound, because when you're just driving, you can't hear it that well. Only in low speed or backing up, you could hear it if you have an exhaust system.

maybe you should record it and post it online.
you should also check all your exhaust connections and where downpipe meets the o2 sensor.
I would check the engine bay to make sure anything is open.

when i was changing my oil yesterday i checked my exhaust connections.. everything is tight like no tomorrow... although i do have the stock springer bolts in the DP... MAYBE i should get some new bolts to replace those??? .. i mean what exhaust do you have and what bolts are on your dp and such... other then exhaust any other ideas.. i mean it sounds like its coming from idk what
no, your stock spring bolts are fine, that's what I have on mine. You do have to make sure they're tight though.
where is the sound coming from? roll your driver side window up and listen while going under 10mph. it'll be better if you're against a wall or something. Echos better.
