i was in a local tunnel going downtown the other day. and no sounds. its ONLY when i'm in reverse and stop. and ocassionally when i'm going from a 5mph roll and stop... like in a drive through or something...

 

did you jack it up and look to see if anything is hitting the exhaust

 

well heres what i'm gonan do. i gotta go pick up my gf she lives 3 mins away.. when i go i'm gonan drive with the window down and listen carefully.. this really pisses me off. stand by everyone lol

 

did you check where the exhaust goes over the crossbraces. thats where mine was hitting. and i could not tell till it did it for awile and finally left some marks

 

it may be a coincidence that it started happening when you got your pipes on. Maybe you should check to see if the noise is coming from your suspension. I am not sure what it is called, but when you get an alignment, one of the suspension arms can pop back and forth if not all the way tight. It may be that that has come loose. It has happened to me in another car, and it only pops when you go from forward to reverse, or reverse to forward.
The change in direction force, causes it to shift and pop.
