I'd think that if he really had something to share, he would have already done so......
I can wait till the unveiling's webcast on friday, since, unless this d00d was sitting in the car, he likely won't know the drivetrain info.

i'm freaking tired of this hype bs, similar to sony and their ps2. it was nothing to go ape over but it bugs me to death. i just hope there will be enough evo's around for me to get one at least in feb., because of all this hype.
since nobody seems to mind here goes....
last day to set up today so the atmsphere is a little tense even for us. for mitsubishi just tying up some loose ends, rechecking mostly visuals and stage mechanism, anf finally uncovering the brand new carpet! Their COO, Senior GES honcho, and ad agency head there today.
2 red evo 8s on stage. one is our domestic variant and the other a 'semi' racing version with scca decals on it-----definitely will not allow public to come in it or near it. COO will unveil the car on press day. Meanwhile a video of a yellow evo8 will be shown in the big screen background. mostly a video of the car being put through its paces. in their display will be alot of reference to their rallye bred heritage with pictures of rally cars, stats, trophies etc. two mitsubishis including an evo will be present from the upcoming movie "2fast2furious". it seems mitsubishi is using the auto show as an opp to promote this movie. there will be clips of the movie. perhaps the best part of it all is this stage on the left.....
(cant i get in trouble for this??!!)
.....this morning when we got there, sitting covered on the stage were 3 cars. all three had these big wings on the back like the evo 8 but all different sizes. i even traced the contours of the cars and all cars are different from the other(each car had different air vent countours on the hood and for sure none of them is an evo 8).Judging from the tires though, they are all street cars. finally since you guys are so nuts about finding out about this ACD feature----- I asked. Since the answer was "we cant release any details until media day", i stuck my head in the red domestic 8 this morning . if the button is supposed to be on the left handside of the steering wheel just below the a/c vent then there were 2 buttons there. the right most button had a 'picture' of a roundish object with 2 wavy lines that intersect it. to the left of this button was another button with the diagram of a 4 wheel drivetrain. and, to the left of that was some kind of a vertical wind up dial. the car also had japanese tags every where inside car. on the seatbelts, seats, dash, rear view mirror, visors, etc. the real ticket here are the press kits located at the rear of the car. this will definitely tell you guys what you need to know about this acd. however, as much as i love all of you dearly, iw ill not lose my job or get in trouble with mitsubishi. listen, i dont even know what this acd is so you guys can imagine that when i stuck my head in there, i didnt even know what i was looking for.
today all cars in the building will be polished for the last time so all covers will be off. if one of you can post me soon enough about where in the car this acd is, then i will be more than happy to look for it.
...and wait its not over.... Subaru finally rolled their cars in late last night while we had left. Covered in their domestic lineup centerpiece is their 'Evo Fighter'??? The wing on this thing seems to be bigger than the evo8s.
i have joined other forums before but none as enthusiastic as this. you guys are absolutely NUTS and the way its supposed be!!!
