Stolen EVO Leather seat be on the look out guys.
When I lived in VA, I had to park my Evo outside, and one night some punks popped out the passenger-side rear vent window and tried to steal my seats. Fortunately, a neighbor saw them and scared them off before they could get anything. I was wondering why anyone would want to steal the stock seats out of my Evo, until I found out they cost something like $1350 apiece!

I have purchased two 2003 Evos and both of them had the cloth seats stolen out of them while the cars were on dealer lots before I picked them up. Bizarre coincidence, but I bought both over the internet. In the first case, a Texas dealer sold it to me and I had plane tickets to go pick it up when they called me to say the seats were stolen, and it took months to get the seats replaced with factory OEM seats. My second EVO i bought with 4 miles on it from a guy who bought it at salvage after the seats and wing were stolen. Turned out to be a good deal for me once he replaced the seats and wing with factory originals that other people sold him after they traded up to aftermarket parts. Even the cloth seats price out at about $3000 each, so insurance companies have been known to total the car out rather than replace them because they can sell the car at salvage without the seats for a reasonable price and the net cost will be less to the insurance company than replacing the stock seats

If the guy wants it bad enough he will get it eventually.
