Bay Area, CA Dealerships

Hi, I've been reading/browsing throughout this board for a few months now and have finally decided that it's time to purchase my EVO! I'm looking to buy an '05 EVO MR within the next few weeks.

I was wondering if any of you out there purchased your EVO, weather it be a GSR or MR, from a dealership in the Bay Area.

If so... which dealership was it, how much did they offer you, how much did you actually purchase it for, would you recommend others to this dealership, and anything else noteworthy that you can think of.

Thanks in advance!

It seems like everyone has good things to say about San Rafael Mitsubishi with sales and service.

I got mine from Hayward Mitsubishi. While I got a decent price, the service was just mediocre.

Thanks your input. Do you mind me asking how much you got your '03 EVO for? Out the door, before taxes, whatever you feel like telling me (if anything). I live very close to Hayward Mitsubishi and was considering paying them a visit.

I got mine from Steven's Creek in Santa Clara....they were ok. I got the price I wanted....never used their service department. I go to Concord Mitsu for my servicing, the service guys are cool. I would never buy a car from there though, the prices are f**ked and the salesman were less than honest or knowledgable. (They told me the MR would not be in the US for 6 months, got mine the next week someplace else)

The majority of people rave about San Rafael Mitsu, I heard they have good prices and even better service. I'd go there but they are 35 miles away where as Concord is 3 miles away.

hehe.. I got my 03 EVO in March 04 for 29.3k OTD. Since I already own a mitsu, I got an extra $500 off for loyalty rebate. I think there were some that went for even less during the following month because they were trying to clear all the 03s out for the 04s. It's all about timing. If you catch them at the right time, you'll catch a good deal.

got mine from san rafael, awesome service and great prices. lets just say it was much closer to invoice than msrp on a brand new 05 gsr. this was only 4 days after they recieved their 05's also. talk to Snorre, he is the owner. he's an ex-rally driver from Norway, good guy to just talk evo with.
i had a friend who went to elk grove mitsu (up near sac) and they wanted 42k for an MR!! i sent him to san rafael and he couldn't have been happier.

Nice! I'm hoping to get a good deal myself.

Yea San Rafael Mitsu. ia about the best in town. I got mine last year when Evo was so hot every dealership wanted at least $2k above MSRP. But, San Rafael never had any mark-ups.

You can tell Snorre Yoon from SF recommended them if you need a reference.

BTW, once you're there check out thier modded Evo.

Werd. That place was crawling with morons when I went in. They wanted $38k for an MR with almost 1,000 miles too. Nobody knew anything. I told them I was looking for an RS. The sales guy dragged me around the parking lot for 15 minutes before another told him they just sold it. Then the saleman yelled to me "hey bro...Ralliart and RS are the exact same thing...let's go take a look"

I left shortly after that. That may be the slimiest dealership I've ever been to. Which is too bad since I'm only about 5 or 10 minutes from them.

San Rafael is the place to go if you're in the Bay Area. The guy you wanna deal with is Chris O'Connell...(415)454-7000 x101...chris@sanrafaelmitsubishi.com

No one mentions Capitol, people in this community don't seem to like it much. But I did have nice experience with them and I got my 04 GSR from them for invoice OTD. Can't give you names as I have very bad memory with names. Just call them and ask for internet sales. They have a new general manager and he was very nice as well and seem to enjoy evo a lot too.
