I'm going to be in the market for an Evo in the next 2-3 months. As much as I'd love to get an 05, I have to be realistic as to what I can afford. Ideally I would like to spend 23-24k max, and I know that used 03 Evo's are going for this price nearly everywhere.

I've also noticed doing online inventory searches that a couple dealers still have left over 04s. How much do you guys think I could get a new 04 for? If I could get a new 04 for maybe 26k or so, I would gladly pay the premium for purchasing what is a "virgin" Evo. If I have no chance in hell at 26k, and 28k or so is what is more realistic, I think I'll probably have to suck it up, cross my fingers and buy a used 03.

last march my friend was able to talk down an '03 to 28k. i think that's probably a realistic price for an '04. but also realize you could pick up an '05 RS for 28k.

 

hmm. 28k might be a little much for my budget.

I'm aware of the RS, but I can't do without power accessories. Besides, I like the painted door handles and the big wing I'd love to have HID's as well.

 

28k is the invoice for the 04, if there is still some left,, try 27k and they might give it to u, who knows....

 

it's too risky to get a used evo, if u know the owner then go ahead

 

ive seen dealers in MD sellin 04's for sticker + still....the dealer i got mine from...the adverage EVO sold for 34k....NO SSL......they compared it to the corvettes when they came out...literally people were bidding on them.....luckily i got the red-ex discount so they HAD to give me mine for 27.5000
