Exactly. And who's to say that the damage is only body damage?? You hit a tree you may want to check out the frame. Heck if that is bent...I don't even want to imagine what the repair costs are going to be.

I know how you feel -- I always wanted a Mustang as a child. I finally drove one...had a blast with it...then I saw the evo...The rest as we say is history...

NOOOO! DONT DO IT!
RUN AS FAST AS YOU CAN AND DONT LOOK BACK!
Trust me on this one, your just opening up a whole can of worms trading your car for that. Sounds like he wants to leave you with his heap of crap, and all its going to do is make it your heap of crap.

thanks for all the response! I seriously thought about it and I decided that I will pass on the Vette for now but will get one the day I give up this little Import hopefully when that day comes it will be a C6 ZO6 (or equivilent) thanks for all the response and BTW it was quoted at 14k for repairs and wasnt totaled because he didnt go thru the insurance for fear they would rape him and blemish his record then drop him. thanks for all the helpful info

Well the decision is up to you, the vette is the American "dream car".

I like it but will never trade my evo for an Vette.

But sure the car look really nice.

Make a wise decision

Chevrolet Corvette Z06

Developed in conjunction with the C6-R race car, the new Corvette Z06 is the fastest and most powerful Chevrolet ever. Actually, it is the fastest and most powerful car in all of General Motors history. What exactly does that mean? Expect 0-60 times under four seconds, quarter mile times under twelve seconds, and a top speed of over 190 mph. This is the kind of stuff that keeps us from sleeping at night. Under the hood of the 2006 Corvette Z06 is a 500-hp 427 cubic inch V-8, or seven liters of displacement. Based on the C6-R engine, it redlines at a shocking 7000 rpm, a speed unheard of in the Chevrolet community. Helping the engine to breathe is a sonorous three-inch dual-exhaust system that is sure to upset the neighbors. With six-figure performance and a five-figure price tag, the Z06 is a sure winner. Watch out, Ford GT and Dodge Viper. Get the full story of the fastest-ever Corvette in the February issue of Automobile Magazine.
Ok the thing to do is get one of these and turbo the F out of it.... somewhere like 50psi. be nice to have like 1500 street hp. talk about lighting it up.

It looks like your decision is already made.

FYI...there is NO WAY to do body work on a fiberglass car without the repair being obvious to someone who know Vettes. The thing will never drive right if it tweeked the rear wheel.
Sorry for the negativity but I had a 99 C5 MM6. Great handling fast car...that is always at the dealer for something.

Good luck.

dude that's cheap, i'll take it if the axle's still intact with struts and brakes.

tha's awfully close to the rear left rim, may have some suspension damage. Would check then buy and fix.

hope you have enough money to maintain that, it's going to be more than evo, I'm sure. Especially the tires being different size, can't rotate them and they're freaking huge.
