3.5" TB Exhaust too much?

Ok so heres the deal. I feel in love with the Evolution the second it came out and never got one. In 2-3 weeks i will FINALLY be getting one and that clock is moving way to slow. I don't know a good amount about cars with the exception of some areas. (im used to NA, had an RSX-S and did all my own work on it)

now over time ive gotten a list together of everything im going to do and in what order because i think i have OCD and theres nothing better to do in school.

Is the APS 3.5" TB too much for the stock car? Friend of mine put it on his STI with little modifications, just a few bolt ons and the car ran fine. Not to mention sounded amazing.

Otherwise i wanted to do a full Ti CB by JIC or Greddy and add a DP and cat delete later on.

Which am i better off doing?

In case youre wondering i do not plan to pull out 500 HP out of this car......i think

Basically im looking for one mean *** exhaust. Something huge and as non-ricey as possible. Vivid's Evo sounded very nice, almost european.

I would say 3,5" is over kill for you, a decent 3" would be a better choice. This is purly from a performance point of view though.

There might be a backpressure issue with an exhaust of that diameter. I have a full 3" with RT cat and it works great

I can't remember where I read it, but someone said that anything larger than 3" diameter exhaust would cause backpressure problems meaning a significant loss of torque at low RPMs.

Yea i think you're all right about the 3".

Now...Greddy or JIC Ti. cat back?

anyone heard the JIC Ti> I havent heard much about it except for the small write up on vivid.

oh such a difficult decision

It will be LOUD. The STi exhaust note sounds nothing like the evos. If you want a sweet sounding exhaust, I don't think this is the one for you.

oh i know the exhaust notes are completely different due to the flat 4 on the STI and a bunch of other things. I just want a nice system thats a little louder than usual and wont fall apart.

Where is my answer?
