Used 2003 Lancer Evo Pricing?
Hello all -
I have been interested for a while in purchasing a used 2003 Lancer Evo. I have shopped around for a bit, but wanted to get opinions for the true Evo enthusiasts. What is a fair price for an 03 Lancer Evo, with around 20-25k miles on it?
Thanks in advance!!

I have also been searching around looking for a good deal on an Evo VIII. I have seen some for sale for as little as $15,000 but they were totally thrashed. Then I have seen others that seem over priced for that many miles at around $28,000. I would say a good price for a used Evo VIII with around 20,000-25,000 miles would be between $18,000 to $22,000. Of course where you live also factors somewhat into the price. Check out this one I found in New Zealand, good thing I am not going there to buy one! Way Over Priced EVO VIII

Road and Track holds the value on a '03" to be 25 thou. That is for a perfectly maintained vehicle. They sold their long term test car for that amount less a deduction for excessive mileage.. they put over 50k on it. It really depends on your local market. 19k is in the rally art price range, I should think an Evo selling there would be in rough shape. I can tell you from my experience with mine the parts for it are all almost all particular to it and are very expensive. I would look for a roll back (car sold and returned with in a day or so for financing problems), they usually are easy to spot becasue they have a license on them and must be sold as used) or a repo with a warranty if I were going to go used. There are good private party sales but you take a signigficant risk with this car if you buy one that way.
