Is it not gonna say Evolution on the Cam Cover?

I found this picture in Autoweek and noticed that it doesn't say "Evolution" on the cam cover like the VII

I never knew it did say Evolution the the cam covers for the VII, but in reality whats the difference. Hardly something to concern yourself about. Im sure aftermarket companies will introduceall sorts of cam (valve cover) covers if you dont like that one...

By the way, the spark plug cover could easily be replaced with a plaque that says Evo rather than Mitsu, if it concerns ya that much.

You guys are far too fussy........unless you are putting a plexi glass hood on the car ....who cares.....maybe you should put a neon light around your rear tag....I am kidding...don't take me seriously!!!

I think all evo 8 have this style of valve covers. The evolution was on the 7's.

They just restyled it i think.

More than likely it means they are going to use this engine in other cars. When an engine is used by several cars (including different brand names) they make it generic looking.
A good example is the DSM valve covers. Only the Galant VR-4 says Mitsubishi on it.
On this only the spark plug cover says Mitsubishi so that would be easy to replace with something like "Dodge"

Just food for thought.

Doesn't the "EVOLUTION" cover add about 30hp more, maybe that is why the JDM version is 300hp

Hope to see you tomorrow TearItUp. Haven't had much luck finding a helmet though.

Don't you get it? It's not about letters you fool. It's about the evo being stripped and the STi being everything it was.... AND MORE!!! (George Castanza)

The only thing that calms me down is the price. I have to admit, that $29K price tag is reasonable.

Another one of those numbers freaks... gotta love em... (or hate em). Numbers are numbers people... just wait until they're side by side on the track.
