The less mods the better. You don't want a car that has been thrashed. Of course EVERYONE who buys an EVO thrashes it. If I was you, I'd look for a new '04 RS sitting on some dealer's lot for a big discount. Then you get to be the only thrasher.

I've seen a couple inexpensive Evos, and you could see where the NOS lines were routed, buyer beware.
