I am totally taken by the overall styling and abilities of the upcomming EVO, EXCEPT for the Ver.8 front bumper/grille . I have been doing as many 'eyeball' comparisons as possible between the Ver.7 and the Ver.8 and it looks like the front will swap directly (this is my plan at least), but I am not sure. Does anyone know if there will be QUALITY, readily available aftermarket kits (possibly replica previous versions) for the US EVO?? I suppose I am asking a dumb question, but this may very well be the deciding factor between the EVO and the STi for me. I am also curious about the Ver.7 tail lights (all red) as opposed to the US 'Altezza' lights. Does anybody know of vendors that will be supplying these bits??

what do you guys think of the c-west front kit? much bigger opening for intercooler =more power anyone know where to get c-west stuff for cheap thanks goes for $650 in japan , as for the altezzas, atleast there're kinda dark chrome, but you could always get da evo7 jdms

we all have different tastes (although I agree that the bumber is ugly and it doesn't really allow for more air from what I can see.)

 

Yeah you're right, I just hate it when people say everything is ricey this and ricey that, and then say the PT cruiser or Neon Srt4 is the bomb and will smoke any car around but if you look closely at the pics you will notice that the upper part of the bumper alows alot more air flow into the intercooler not to mention that C-west competes in the JGTC series

 

I wondering where we can find some interior accessories for the Evo, like some paint color matching panels and dash board and stuff, cuz the stock Evo interior looks just dirt cheap

 

No, you are right... Im happy with everything about the car... the taillights are disgusting though and I hate the Split grill and the swoopy ides on the front bumper... gimme the EVO 7 bumper and the tailights...my thoughts exactly... the int is not good either...the seats are Recaros(!!)...but ugly pattern.

Here is the thing...if you get a pre painted bumper from a JDM EVO...will the paint match?

I sure hope this wasn't directed towards me . For one, I own an 00 2.5 RS Impreza . I don't own, nor have I driven a Mustang or a PT or Neon or any other f'ing domestic. Not that I feel the need to defend myself or justify anything I have previuosly stated. Plus, I don't see anywhere in this thread that mentions 'rice' or a lack of knowledge about anything 'JDM'.

Nor did I mention anything about rice in my previous thread. I didn't even talk about performace or otherwise. I simply asked a question based on personal preference. And I stated that I would prefer quality workmanship (aka 'greater cost') over RICEY (aka 'cheap') ****.

And, yes, I personally dislike chrome tailights. If you lived in Vegas, you would get tired of chrome as well. In my opinion Red/clear is far more, how did you put it, "JDM". But since I apparently drive a domestic I must not be anybody and I must not have a clue about 'JDM Shiznatz' styling or performance. I am aware of the C-West brand as they make kits for my car.
