OK, well I obviously had protected myself psychologically by forgetting ever hearing that the EU version was getting the goodies... maybe I never knew that. Regardless, it is good that THEY are getting it so at least it will get a reliability trial with them before being brought here.

As far as that button there goes...I'm sure that ours is the foglight button with a dome and wavy lines (as described at the LA show)...but for those of you who forgot to look at the button in this photo, it has a diagram of a drivetrain with four wheels in H-formation overview and a dark spot in the center of the "H", right where the ACD lives which, I'm betting says "ACD" in little letters. So, if you are still confused...it may be because you are trying to make wavy lines out of a big H ...or the screen is getting really resonated and you need to clean out your "Graffix"!

 

in the picture.... is that actually some type of screen.... maybe GPS.. or even sensors???? i dont know... maybe you guys see dif?

you know..i heard that the ayc/acd would be offered as an option off the msrp package. mistu might hold off on offering that to the us, but it would most likely come along with the ralliart features and whatnot...

 

I don't think it'll ever come. They've already filled the spot for the button. You think they'd go to the trouble to re-engineer a button.

 

All the previous Evolutions after the V (or IV?) have had a GPS + DVD system as an option but I have never seen an Evolution with it before. I think it makes the interior look a lot better, and it controls the radio too so there is no radio face on the dashboard. That is something I like because I think the radios that come with the Evolution Lancers look like they have been added after the car was bought, they don't really suit the car. . Anyway, just my opinion.

OK, moderators...admit that's the acd button in the picture on this thread!! I don't care WHAT they made it into elsewhere, this is an acd button in this pic!

On a second note, this thread was started by me 'cuz I didn't know where else to put it and I think it has well served its purpose and has nowhere to go. I got educated. Thanks.
Now I just feel bad cluttering up the board with it since it's kinda "played out" so if you wanna delete it... I won't be offended.

 

I don't see why they won't use that same spot for the ACD button in the U.S. Evo. After all, the Euro Evo has the ACD button there, and they still have foglights. Where the heck is the foglight button on the Euro Evo anyway? Is it on a stalk or is it where the U.S. Evo has the headlight leveling button?

 

ummmm which? the EU spec? yea its the ACD button, but for the US spec nope thats the fog light button (seen it with my own eyes, from about a foot away)

That is an acd button in the picture of the EU evo. I know that it has a different function (and different diagram on it) in our US Evo...as I also wrote in previous posts IN THIS SAME THREAD!!!!
