I Give Up!
I Give Up!
Hi guys,
I know it's hard to believe but i've been driving for a week without engaging turbo. 95% of the time i'm driving at or under 3000rpm. The rest of 5% up until 4k rpm , HOPING that this way i can gain more Miles per gallon....because of the upraising gas prices again...
the whole week of struggling turns out into a big dissapointment.
My regular driving yields about 21+ mpg almost 22, and after today's refill, I still got 22.5mpg ... only like 0.7miles per gallon improvement...
I was hoping that at least i would get like 23-24mpg...but oh well..... i'm going to have fun driving instead of trying to save some gas now....
my car... all stock.

After I installed my RS intake I had to drive off boost until I got a flash done so on the way up to Bushur I got 27.40 mpg. Do you have some kind of intake? A better filter might help you out.

You must do a lot of city driving. The secret to getting good gas mileage with the Evo is driving on an open freeway, being very gentle on the gas pedal AND not spooling the turbo.
