i see you drive an 05 STi but ordering an 05 MR. is this to replace or an addition to your STi?

 

sti guys have a different take on this article. read on:
a couple of weeks ago i saw a post on sti forum. it went something like this.
an sti owner had an '05 model, had a tein upgrade (don't remember which tein package), couple other things. he went to a road course. at the same course there was a pro driver who races porsches and such for a living. he drove '03 evo with 350 whp or something and rear sway bar upgrade....the sti owner beat the pro driver by like 1.8 secs for fastest lap. according to sti owner, the evo was understeering all over the place, etc etc....aww man, lemme just assure you how insanely happy the sti guys were on that forum. but you won't believe how ignorant they were being just because their pants were full of poo from all the excitement. namely, the sti driver that beat the pro in 03 evo was talking all this smack that we(evo guys) should just accept the fact that sti is better, yadda yadda. he also went on to ramble that the c&d comparison was UNFAIR, since MR is like $3500 more than sti! the fool (gotta give him credit for good driving though) completely ignored the fact that he compared a 2 yr old evo to brand new sti. all 05 evos have front lsd and acd, which takes care of understeer and that's a HUUUUGE difference! the 03 evo won the battle against 03 sti, so why won't THEY accept that. also, his sti had a suspension upgrade. the evo had 350whp, but according to sti guy, the pro driver didn't seem like he drove the car on track all that much before. so i'll give him credit for only one thing, being a good driver of the sti. for being ignorant about evo specs and jumping on every chance they can get to bash the evo i give them
also they whined about all evo owners being immature kids cause we get all stirred up when someone disses our cars (which is partially true for many owners, but not everyone)
now, personally i LIKE the sti a lot and all the warmongering between the 2 cars annoys the hell out of me, i just mentioned the post because i wanted for you guys to know the reaction they get.
