i was looking at a black evo with a small wing and the guy was like"ya it comes with a carbon fiber wing and a carbon fiber hood." i just said i dont think it has either and he asked me if i was sure and then he was like " have you listened to it ? it doesnt sound like metal its carbon fiber so he went over and knocked on it a couple of times. i just gave up and agreed with him.

Heck you could be right, if you go to almost any other dealership it seems different. Most of the salesmen i've talked to at Subaru or even Dodge dealership's seem to have a little bit more knowledge about what they're selling.

 

You know, that reminds me. I bought a Grand Cherokee Orvis years back and the saleman had told me it had an alarm. I didn't think much of it and eventually did buy the vehicle.
After having it a couple days I was trying to get the alarm to work and found out, it didn't have an alarm, although it did have a small pushbutton toggle that looked like an alarm switch.
I brought it back and asked them to show me how the alarm worked, and they got the maint shop to look at it when they couldn't figure it out.
The long and the short of it: The dealer had to install a Mopar alarm system in the vehicle for me at their cost.
Wonder how a dealer would like installing carbon fiber everything on one because they told someone it had it and it didn't...or twin turbos for that matter!

that reminds me my first car had no a/c just a button the salesman told me it had a/c i was only 16 it was brand new 92 civic dx hatch i went to the dealer and told them my a/c doesnt work n they just laughed pop my hood n showed me were the a/c would be at if i had one i was a stupid auto shop student i'll never let that happen to my son oh i went with my mom to buy the car and my pops hated it

 

yeah right...are you NUTS? you HAVE to drive the one you're going to buy! Let me in on one of my experiences....A buddy of mine has that exact thing...he drives the hell out of one, then gets the other one...UNTIL, I told him he was stupid and proved it to him. We went to a dodge dealer(ick :P) and he went to look at the SRT4 when it first came out. They had two...a black one and a blue one. He liked the blue one, so he asks the salesman for the black one's keys to test drive....before the guy leaves, I told him NO, get the blue one's keys. so he does. we take off on a test drive in a blue SRT4. I can say this, there's just no way in heck you can get me to ever ride that again...BOOOMy exhaust! geez... anyway, my wife's old 91 geo prism felt more powerful than that blue car. My buddy was driving...so I told him he didn't know how to romp it, we traded and I did a 5Krpm clutch drop with redlines until 4th... still didn't put me back...I could swear that Geo was faster.... plus having the 2nd gear under my butt didn't help..crappy dodge shifter... so my friend was confused, so was I... I'd read so much about the power/handling/etc. of the mighty SRT4. And I turn to him and say... "so, if you'd of driven the black one and it WAS fast, then bought the blue one, you wouldn't be too happy right now huh." We got a call weeks later from that dodge dealer... there had been problems with the engine/turbo/intercooler on that car which they "fixed" and wanted for us to go back and drive again.... LOL...yeah right.

You just never know. Drive the one you want.

 

HAHAHHA same happend to me..

I went to the dealer tried to sell me a MR for 43,000 what the ****! He even said the only diff. was that the MR had 250hp and the VIII has 240hp. a lot of them (Salesman) dont know crap about their cars.

my friend always messes with mitsu salesman cuz he knows they dont know crap about them. heres some of the questions he asked...

"how big is the 2nd turbo?"
"how much for new muffler bearings?"
"are the cams 280s or 290s?"
"does the suspension have an external gate?"
"what oil does the left rear differential take"
"what is the MR's 7th gear ratio?"

the guy answered to each of them

 

hahahaha, what did he answer it with? Id like to know that.

 

I love the guys who think "twin-scroll" turbo means twin turbo...

 

AHAHA LMFAO ROFLZ i can't stop laffing.. ima go *** around wit them dealers today... dealers are gay tho.. this is wut happened to mee.. i called 2 dealers up.. i asked them if they had the evo on the show room floor and if they have brochures for it.. dealer 1 said they had the evo on the show room floor but not the brochures.. dealer 2 said they had the brochures but not the evo on the show room... so.. i'm like ok.. mee and my friend after work the next day.. we go to dealer 1... to check out the evo rite.. i walk in and i'm like excuse mee wheres the evo.. he's like huh?? we don't have a evo on the show room.. so i'm like wtf i called yesterday and ****.. and he's like whoever you spoke to doesn't know anything.. and i'm thinking.. ur the same guy i spoke to on the fone.. so rite now i'm really pissed.. but we leave to go to other dealers... so the next day mee and my friend bike to dealer 2.. about 5 miles away.. to pick up some brochures.. they didn't have them! but i called.. so now i'm dinking this is some BS... i was pissed.. well it wasn't funny for mee but now it will be.. ima go tomorrow to mess wit them freaken dealers.. ima make their lives horrible!

 

uh... they have a right to jack you off if your primary reason for being there is to jack them off.

especially if you roll up on a bicycle.
