I know you could not take it out and rally it but it is a car that is based on the rally car, not a drag car.

A. They have NO WAY of knowing you were racing, and...

B. I thought the Whole Idea of this car was the Phenominal Lauches possible
with the AWD, and running stock 13.1-13.0's??? At least according to MitsHu??

So they made the car with a Glass Clutch, and told thier Service Techs to try
and Get out of thier OBLIGATION to Cover it????

Confused

depends on how cool you are with the dealer. i got my clutch pressure plate and flywheel covered under warranty, WITH hotspots and the flywheel was almost as blue as my car.

Is it me or does no one else know this is a rally car NOT A DRAG CAR...
yeah, i know what you mean... car's designed as a track car that somehow practical in a sense as well yet... it's NOT made specifically for drag racing... but the car does everything well... it's versatile to say the least, but, ppl can't seem to understand dragracing isn't it's top strength... it's the lowest overall capability of the car... and last thing it was designed for, i don't care what anyone says...... I've put tons of "spirited" driving on the car as in backroads, hill climbs, downhill rushes, and some closed track action... no probs with the brakes, tires, and especially the clutch... as a matter of fact, it grabs almost like new still... how many ppl smoke the clutch within it that from just 10-20 digs within 5k miles let alone the 8k on mine??? but, i dunno man... can't really blast anyone on draggin' though, to each their own, it's a free country, and it's their own money they work hard for the be able to afford the Evo... as long as they're happy......

The fact is that they would know that you had been launching it hard.. I have taken mine to the drag srip and was purposely hard on the clutch rather than the tranny. When I replaced my clutch & flywheel the flywheel was nice and multicolored, and the surface was deformed It looks quite artistic, but it was obvious that I'd been launching it.. and guess what... Launching = abuse.. In fact driving almost = abuse..

I was quoted 10 hours (@ $80/hr). I did it myself, in about 10 hours.

I would think an experienced reputable independant shop would give you a MUCH better price.
