The smart thing for them to do, is to keep all there Evo's in there service garage.
Should have an alarm system. Thats what my mitsu dealer does. You never see any Evo's sitting outside at night.

Yes there are still tons of racist people in the world and it is still an issue that comes up but in general in 2005 the USA is the most diverse country in the world and we have the least amount of racism. This isnt the Civil War.

If you think that the fact that Maron is black has nothing to do with this , you're either a complete optimist or an ignorant fool. You think there is no prejudgement because Maron is black and he can afford to switch evo's every 6 months? You honestly think people don't judge him before they know him because of the color of his skin, regardless of the situation. I bet alot of you guys wouldn't be to happy if your daughter or sister came home with a black guy, regardless of his character, to me this is racist. This is coming from a rich Anglo Mexican from Torreon, Coahuila who has never been discriminated. The WASP racism that this country was founded on still resonates today if you scratch the surface. I'm not saying most Americans are racists, but I am saying that people of color have to deal with this every day in America, specially blacks.

Funny enough, when the detective called me, he said yeah the reason that I'm calling is because an evo was stolen from Freehold mitsu. Immediately I thought it was my car since mine is there getting fixed after the porta potty encounter. He then reassured me that my car was in still in the shop.
i just dont think the people at the dealership called the cops and said "well this guy is black so call him first" and i'm half black myself so I know exactly how racism is. maybe in NY its just not as bad as other places

When I bough my old STI, the salesman pulled me to the side and said to me "They're concern because they want to know your motive for wanting to trade a mercedes E500 and a 350z for a subaru"
And I said " Why? is everything not legit?"
he then tapped his arm with his finger twice.
It may not be racism, but this sort of stereotyping is funny to me.

The point is, everytime anything happens to a black guy, its always because someone is racist. Or because they are black. And whoopty do if he buys a new evo every six months, you think the dealership wants him in jail? he gives them 10 grand a year. how do you know that an eyewhitness didn't see a talk black man wandering around that area around the time the junk was stolen?

As a ****ing dealership you should cameras in place especially when a hot item like a MR is out. Next time the detective calls, tell him to talk to your lawyer.

When I was first looking at evo's, they were the obvious choice since I live so close. To make a long story short, they tried selling me an evo at the time for a ridiculous price (38k, not even after tax/tags) and gave me an attitude about looking elsewhere. I found one at another dealership for 30 out the door (back in june 03).
Screw all of them at that place, I always knew they were slime. This just solidifies it.
