Yet another EVO broken into in Freehold Mitsubishi lot.
Yet another EVO broken into in Freehold Mitsubishi lot.
I received a call from a detective from Freehold Mitsu asking me if I knew anything about the seats that were taken from an evo at Freehold Mitsubishi's Lot. Just like my previous thread, those seats are the leather recaro seats.
I must say that I was really upset about getting a call such as this. It is as if he was asking me fi I knew who stole the seats. How he got my information remains a mistery and I will not speculate. My opinion is that someone at the dealership gave him my info but I'm not sure on what context. After I bought two evo's from them and if they decided that this is how that they are going to treat their customers, I don't think that is a smart move for them.
Keep in mind that I'm in my rights to sue for violation of privacy. I will hold on to that until I know more.

if you sue them for the cops asking you about stolen seats, your as bad as the person who stole the seats. there is a reason that everything gets so expensive and a big reason is because of sue happy people who think they can get rich quick because someone "bothered" them. although i don't really know the details, unless you/them signed a privacy agreement i doubt you actually have any rights (i am not a lawyer, so i have no idea what i am talking about anyway). but i still stand by my opinion that, if your not going to help solve the problem, then your a part of the problem. and if the police asked for your help if you knew anyone who may or may not be stealing seats out of cars, the least you could do is say, no sir, i have no idea. but you owning 2 evos, obviously your familiar with the car and maybe someone has approached you trying to sell leather recaros in your area or something. there are a million reasons why they would ask you, and if you know nothing then all you have to do is say no sir, i haven't a clue. no harm is done. if you sue, then they will raise prices to recoup the insurnace loses they are going to get, and the insurance companies will all raise prices more.
so don't continue the madness!!! thank you! rant mode off.

screw freehold mitsu. The sales manager tried to bully me into buying a car from them after i left a deposit and they delivered a damaged vehicle. Worst expereice i've ever had at a car dealer.....if you go there and see Tom Maestro make sure you don't deal with him...he is a liar and complete *****.

you cant sue for violation of privacy, the police did not even come close to violationg anything and the police can ask whoever they want anything they want just about wherever or however they feel like at any time. you weren under arrest and you werent in custody so your rights do not apply. you can either help them ot not help them, regardless of which you do you cant sue anyone for calling you and asking you questions, expecially law enforcement.
and since you dont know the details of why your name was brought up, just see how things turn out. THE POLICE ARE DOING THEIR JOB, WHY GET MAD OVER THAT??? THEY ARENT CALLING YOU TO ACCUSE YOU, THEY CALLED YOU TO ELIMINATE YOU FROM A LONG *** LIST OF PEOPLE WHO "COULD POSSIBLY" HAVE SOMETHING TO DO WITH IT.

Freehold Mitsubishi hires detectives? Wow. Maybe he was aware of this thread https://www.evolutionm.net/forums/sh...27#post1572527 and wondered if you had received any information? I'm really not sure of the point of your post or why you're in the least bit upset about the phone call.
Hey, Works sent me a brochure the other day! I've never ordered anything from them or had any dealings with them!!!! This is an outrage! How dare they contact me without contacting me to ask if they can contact me! Who gave them my address? I want to know so I can sue them!

But when you start asking me, Have you ever been in trouble with the law, I think that is a little personal don't you think? and after all, he can look me up if he wanted to.
My name has no relevance to the stolen seats, you mean to tell me that you are going to call every single person that ever bough an evo at that dealership?
I don' t think so. Like I said I will wait and see how this plays out. I'm overall upset at the detective's demeanor and Freehold Mitsu for giving my name out.
Hell I'm the one that post a thread back when the first evo's seats were taken from there asking you guys to be on the look out.

I hate when people blame everything on their race, for all you know at least one or both of the detectives that called you are black, please dont be so ignorant.
Yes there are still tons of racist people in the world and it is still an issue that comes up but in general in 2005 the USA is the most diverse country in the world and we have the least amount of racism. This isnt the Civil War.
I don't know what the law is but if you can be connected to a crime at a car dealership simply because you own the same type of car that was damaged at a car dealership then there is definately a problem, but this is so far fetched that I'm gonna agree that there's gotta be something you're not saying here unless the car dealer is trying to implicate you for some reason, in which case there's still gotta be something you're not telling us.

I spoke to the guy for almost 45 minutes and even offered to come down and talk to him. It wasn't until he asked me a few personal questions that I found to be innapropriate that I then told him I willl not talk to you in those conditions.
