Evo At Detroit Auto
Evo At Detroit Auto
Just got back from the Detroit auto show. To my surprise they had both, the Evo and the STi there.
I had a good chance to look at both cars. I walked way very disappointed with the way the evo looked in person, ugly and cheap. I have always liked the Evo over the Sti on the looks department. I must say however, I was impressed by the way the sti looked. Both inside and outside felt like better quality materials

Hey fellow Michigan person. We gotta go to meet at milan sometime when i get my evo and whey you get your or the sti!
Anyways, that evo at the Detroit auto show is so messed up. I think they wax a freshly painted car? So many swril marks and a piece of missing plastic on the bottom trim probably due to someones high heel stabbing off the paint on the trim.
I think the evo looks great if it wasnt so beat up. I love FMIC's. I couldnt' touch the subaru. but the new wrx seats felt less grippy than the old even though it looks better. Go figure.

Hey there guys i to live in Michigan, Western MI. I have my EVO on the way and would like to maybe set up a MI. EVO club. Does that sound like a good idea? What color are you getting? I ordered a lighting yellow one due Feb. 10 to the 13th and i am so siked.
I plan also to mod the heck out of it so maybe we can share upgrade paths. I to was at the Detroit Auto Show, just to see the EVO in person. I didn't like the red to much and the paint felt really soft, like it had way to much wax on it. Someone did a ****y job on shinning it up and it did not do the EVO any justice.
But any way let me know what you think, anybody on here from MI.

Someone use a buffer and scrape the hell out of it
. Paint dries in 1.5 months or something and only polish, no wax till it dries 100%. Heard all JDM import cars have ****ty paint except for the U.S. one's or S2000/nsx factory.
Most of you guys are pretty far away but i think Fred mentioned to me he's in the grand rapid area. Maybe we could meet at Milan Dragway during their import nite or something, I think its once a year. We can scare all the honda civics off
and see who has the fastest straight line evo or sti.

Maybe by then we could get a bunch of evo to dominate over detroit muscle

Hey Zen, instead of bringing up and old thread, utilize the region section of the message boards. You will probably want to visit the midwest section to get something going.
Anyhow, welcome to the site.
