Get on the phone and hire a traffic attorney. You need to get this dropped to an infraction so you can take traffic school.

It is an infraction to not let someone pass who is trying to pass you.

I want to know how this turns out, keep us updated please. Good luck...I think you'll get it lessened and you'll get maybe a slap on the wrist in comparison to what you would get without fighting it.

Uh...he was cited for racing on the highway, not speeding. You can be racing and still be under the speed limit.

... there are 3 sides to every story. The EVO driver, the Celica driver and the truth.

It seems like such a waste of everyone's time and money to give tickets like that. If you really acted the way you did, then a warning could have been enough and not costs tax money or court time (not to mention your money). It just seems like a waste for everyone involved. And yes I know they are trying to keep the roads "safe". I have a close relative for a cop, and I've overheard him saying the same thing about cases where it is clearly not racing. Maybe the law is that different there....

Good advice.

I've always wondered, how do cops pull two people over? I've seen it after it's been done before, but what's up with that?

My dad and I both got pulled over, they blocked off two lanes of traffic with a road block, and then the guy pulled his gun... it was funny

tell the judge that the cop he is lying and have the cop prove to the judge that he isn't and you're a 30 year old guy with a clean driving record who likes to engage in speed contests in front of law enforcement officials although up until now you've never been caught..... rule number one in the us legal system... ADMIT NOTHING!

Get a lawer, just like the military and anything else you will be suprised how much of it is the buddy system. Knowing the right people never hurts. I got busted for speeding, a firend of mine was a lawyer and knows the judge well. Ticket got droped to 90bucks and was destroyed and taken out of the system in front of my own eyes after paying. Where did the money go? Who knows, judge could have droped it and they could have split the money, point of the matter is I dont give a damn my insurance is still only 50bucks a month. Reason I brung up the military is because im active duty and knowing the right people can make things totally diffrent for ya. Good luck.
