If you get some kind of drop in filter, HKS or K&N. You'll be able to hear it. It won't be as loud as a open element filter but it still makes noise. If you get a open filter you'll really be able to hear it.

not argueing but how would a filter such as hks or k&n make a diffrence in noise, its still in the stock air box?

I put a greddy type s (w/spring mod) on my new 05 with a stock box a filter no sound at all. Then I put a HKS drop filter in and you could hear the BOV. I just know it works, more air flow maybe.

The intake adaptor is the best for the money to start with..
