i havent had my liscense for 3 years cause WI driving laws are terrible. But i got a ticket for 96 in a 65 the first night i had my liscense, but I definetely drive within speed limits for the most part. 155 is not for a 50mph zone, do it in wyoming or something on a country interstate.

wow all of you are retarded how does speeding automatically qualify as "being an idiot"
he didnt buy an evo so he can drive around and hang with mini vans, I agree doing 157 IS pushing it but give him a break...

Dude if you were goin 157 why did u stop? Lol i was goin 180 in my modded gto and once i past the cop i went up to like 200+ and he never had a chance to catch me... Any ways im not from PA but in CO if you tripple the speed limit then you can be charged with attempted sucide...lol how stupid is that...But anyway i have a few tips to get out of speeding tickects.

1. See if the radar gun was calibrated, cops have to do this every month if they didnt then you ticket is void.

2. See if you can make a deal

3. See if any of the info on your ticket is wrong ie. Birthdate, Race, Date. Because if some things are wrong it might be voided.

4. See if anyone you know works for the city in eathier the police department or the court office, Im lucky my sis is a judge so everytime i get i ticket i ask to have her as my judge and all my tickets get voided. I love playing the system!!!

4. If 1, 2, 3 or 4 dont work bend over and kiss you *** goodbye. lol

But pray that 1 works because that is most likely the one thats gonna get you out of it.

But to all of you that say u never speed or only go 5 over go and buy a freakin caravan or something because people do drive high performance cars to drive slow. And track times only come around a few times a year, so all i gotta say it its not illegal until you get caught and convicted, Thats why the say your Innocent UNTIL proven Guilty.

Jesus christ, 157 in a 50 mph zone?! I'm sorry but thats just plain insane, and using the defense "well I was racing" just makes it worse. I agree that you don't buy an evo to drive like a wuss but if you buy a gun do you automatically have to shoot someone? If you want to race, do it on a track. If I was the cop who pulled you over, I would 1. impound your car, 2. rip up your license on the spot and 3. arrest you and charge you with reckless driving, street racing and speeding. Its people like you who give tuners a bad name, you don't deserve the car and you do not deserve the privilege to drive. Period.

Yeah no kidding. If you're taking the risk of doing 150+, then you might as well take the risk to run from the cop

Attempted suicide? You gotta be kidding me.

157 in a 55...you are an absolute moron. I hope they lock your stupid *** up and throw away the key. "I was just racing this other guy" ???? OMG that is too funny.

If that cop only gave you 80 in a 55 you should be going to church every Sunday and praying 15 times a day, because right there at that moment the cop wrote "80" in the blank on the ticket instead of 157, a white light should have been cast down onto you from the heavens, and a booming voice said "You are a lucky bastard tonight" because God decided to miracle your dumb ***.

I am trying to think of any GTO that will do 200 modded or not. The 288 is the only one that comes to mind that might be capable. If you are referring to a Pontiac then your speedo must have been grossly miscalibrated. The old american muscle does not have the aero to do it.

Perhaps you were referring to KPH?

I wanna know how old the original speed demon is. I find it funny how there's such a huge spread in here, you have some from the >25 crowd supporting this whole anti-speed limit movement and you have some of the <21 that find it all extremely reckless and immature.

Ok! Let put the speed limit thing aside. Let consider the relatively law. When you're doing 157 and others on the same road were doing much less than that (around 60), the margin to avoid error is almost nil, the way other cars predicting your coming will be off badly, and you will never reaction timely to avoid accident like car merged into your lane assuming you're going similar to their speed, sudden change of road condition... Common, who you think you are? A professional racer?

That's why we're going with the flow of traffic not the speed limit. As long as your driving look "normal" or "blend-in" with other cars, your chance of getting bust for speeding ticket is much lower.
