What a difference cams make
short video comparing two runs without and with HKS cams (272/272's) respectively.

just wondering, to the people with any type of aftermarket cams (264,272,280), did you realize that much of a power gain on the top end like this?

Those are both buddies of mine here in fl. and cams make a big difference but dude if it's not to late go with the 272's. My car has never stalled or had idling issues (other than sounding mean as heck) and thats without a tune. The red one has 272's with a tune and is not harsh or undrivable at all. The vid is also on the turbotrix site.

wow didn't expect it to be that noticeable... does anyone know if using cam gears along with aftermarket cams will produce even better results? (with proper tuning, of course) if so, about how much HP?

The red evo is mine. Mark from turbotrix told me that the 272's are perfect at 0 deg on both intake and exhaust. I have stock cam gears, so I would say that cam gears are not necessary. I believe that the 9 sec turbotrix evo has 272's set at 0, I could be wrong though. With the turbotrix flash my idle is very close to stock. Evolving-04's had 272's w/ the Buschur Stg4 and his car loped, it sounded pretty nice.

whats up buddy .. right now the came are at 0-0 .. We are testing some cams this week and i'll play around with settings. There is a new cam out that are claiming big hp's over hks .. We'll see
