Question new clutch after mods?

A buddy of my with a 03 evo told me today that he was told that after putting on his BOV, intake, exhaust, and reflash, somebody told him that the stock clutch would have to be replaced , due to the fast wear on it after the reflash due to new air/fuel ratios? is this correct, has anyone had to do this?

stock clutch doesn't have to be replaced unless it starts to slip. most cars will burn their clutch faster with more hp/trq, but that isn't always the case.

If your friend believes this, then he should learn more about the evo b4 modding it.

LOL what would a/f have to do with the clutch. The clutch only will go with A. to much power not enough hold , B. horrible driver, or C. bad clutch from the start. Cant forget about usual wear, but thats not the case witht he evo clutches.

my stock lasted for 30,000 miles or so, but i think it could of lasted a lot longer if I didn't goto the track so much.

but you should save up and invest in a clutch now, so when your stock one goes, you're ready.

And it'll go, sooner or later, if you're serious about track racing, drag racing, etc...

especially drag racing. It's addictive. Who really cares about how fast evo's go anyway? lol

i do. "serious".
