ok, now I got everything connected. The O2 and the Ground along with the E-break wire are spliced. The harness is also plugged in. The car runs, however the TT does not turn on, so I dont think there is any power going to it. What could be the problem?

how did you ground it? ground it to the metal and make sure the plugs are pluged tightly.

should automatically turnon. harness provides power source already...

If you cant find a good ground spot, get a nail file, and made a nice ground spot around a screw. Thats what I used to do when I used to hook stereos up.

^ that and there is a great ground spot right on the lower left corner, right above the dimmer switch.

thanks guys, I found the problem. I used clamps to splice the wires and they had not completely spliced the wires. So I took them off and just did it the old fasioned way. Now it works fine. Thanks again for all your help

Ok sorry for a dumb question, but is the o2 connection only used to monitor the a/f. Do I have to hook that up? I already have an a/f guage. All I want is the tt function (I have the apexi tt with the wire harness) So basically can I just hook up the wire harness, e-brake and ground? Thanks.

How accurate are the a/f readings on this TT? Does it use a wide band signal?

Yea, it doesn't work to well for a/f readings. I didn't even bother hooking it up to the o2 wire on the ecu. I don't need a/f readings on this or the auto mode feature. Still it works fine as a timer.
