I agree with everything above, but I'll add that the film is too much of the same.

Thanks for the comment, but once again like has been stated several times....more time and areas were not available to take more shots. If it was a real serious thing I would have detailed my car first, planned out where we could get 20 different good shots, and probably spent part of 3 days with this guy....and once again he's not a film student...i think this class is an elective. It was a couple guys screwing around with a camcorders...cheap a$$ tripod and about an hour of time. He had the video put together that night.
Just thought i'd clear that up....3rd time is a charm i hear.
haha seeing as how he's not a film major, I can't really say anything bad. I've seen way worse from actual film students.
Seriously though, there's plenty of things wrong with it, but then again there are also some really cool shots. Whatever tripod he was using sucked as$, though.

nah, I understand. I've gotten some shoddy equipment from my university. Wind is evil! Although I didn't notice any wind noise in the vids... I guess you mean that made it harder to control the camera?? For me, wind usually just f's up my audio.

Yeah he said he was having problems controlling the camera with the wind.....also part of the reason you can't hear the engine in some of the shots is apparently because the wind did manage to screw up the sound....nothing like a nice whooshing noise.
i think the videos are tight, nice work...the only thing i would change is the scenery lol you got like "For Rent" signs in the background...where are the cool tunnel shots man?!
sick gauges btw, where did you get that setup?

I got it from 42 Draft Designs....I actually kinda was their guinea pig in getting everything all fit. The kits come with all the wires, connectors, hardware, gauges, aluminum plate(or black plastic) and your choice of LED back lights.....great setup...and pretty easy to install...just takes time. Also...very very very good price for an entire setup.
Yeah the scenary sucked.....and there are no tunnel around here at all. Its Indiana...crap weather this time of year....and basically flat. The only reason we shot there was because it had a couple fun turns and we could actually drive without some cars for more than 3 minutes.

constructive criticism...
if the camera was small then it probably wasn't that great. Looked like 1 CCD (not 3). colors weren't really popping.
the couple times he did use a tripod, you could tell it was terrible (or his panning was). motion was jerky panning (right to left shot).
Kind of looked like you could add any music to it. Didn't really edit for the music.
With that said, I appreciate you guys spending the time to do this. It's easy for us to criticize. I've made a video myself.. it takes time to shoot it and time to edit it. Shooting from inside an evo is extremely difficult. Can't avoid the shakes.
Tell your friend keep practicing.

The video was alright...I just can't get over the camber on the rear end of the car...You are gonna have some serious tire wear isues with that set up...How low are you? I have TEIN coilovers and I tought my car was slammed, BUT DAMN!! I would give it a C, but with a BBY EVO VIII, I gave it a C+...How did your friend do BTW?
