05 RS vs. 04 RS

can anyone help compare these two?

Also, if any of you are RS owners, do you mind posting how much you paid?

I am looking to purchase one in the next 1-2 months. At first, I was going for the WRX (not STi) but now the RS seems worth the extra 2-3 grand.

Thanks!!

I paid $26,200 OTD for my new 04 RS in December 04.

As for 04 vs. 05, I would say it comes down to the price difference. If it's only slightly more, I would get the 05. It has the ACD, alum. roof, 10.5 hotside, factory gauge pack, and probably something else that I'm missing.

I'm with DC, if the price is close go with the 05.

You're mistaken. EVERY US-spec Evo VIII has A/C as standard -- including the '04 and '05 RS.

I just saw this. You need to shop harder. I bought an RS and a WRX within a week of each other last spring. I got the RS for 27k and a new WRX for 20k. That's right, 20 large -- no special deals, no crazy rebates.

EDIT: oops, i left out the moral of the story. Shop harder and get a better price on that WRX before ruling it out.

I paid $300 over invoice - down payment + sales tax. Sales tax varies across states and the down payment varies from buyer to buyer so the final sale price doesn't help anyone.
