mitsubishi accessories air dam
Does anyone have any pictures of what the factory air dam accessory looks like? I have looked on the mitsubishi website and have had no luck.
they look good in person. It's plastic so you could actually paint it to match.
they give you a bit more down force if you use it with a splitter.
it's all about the low pressure zone. word

Oh ya, I have those on my car. They have been there for almost 2 years. They are actually canards, and are held in place by three bolts and 3m tape. Install is easy, since they come with template. I got them from

They are supposed to do something, but I think you have to be going stupid fast to notice. The undertray is designed to provide down force by the way it is curved in the middle, so I do not think these things add much more to that.
I could be wrong, they could be effective.
I installed them, because I like the look.

I answered corectly, the air dam is not an accessory as it comes stock on all evo's
Ok.... Look at the little black winglets on the sides of the bumper, those are the air dam accesories, known to the rest of the world as canards. You can pick them up from the dealer, genuine Mitsubishi part, call them if you'd like.
O.K. you got me with this one. I'm not exactly sure what you are talking about. Do you mean the horizontal strakes that direct air to the brakes? I've had my front tray off about 20 times and haven't noticed anything that is supposed to add downforce.
As for the canards, the salesman told me they were for directing air across the outside surface of the wheel to extract heat generated by the brakes. Now that's original!
