For cars currently on order there are two possible ship dates. 2/10/03 and 3/13/03. Now keep in mind, these are the dates the cars are scheduled to leave the port, NOT the day they will arrive at dealers. These dates are also not etched in stone and I would expect a swing of about a week in either direction once we get closer to ship day.
So my date is on 2/10/03 so your guessing it'll arrive a week from that time? I'm suppose to call back to the dealership next week to get more info like vin and etc..

Your a dealership. Ya know how come the 1st allocation has different arrival dates?

Hailz!

I recently heard an UNSUBSTANTIATED RUMOR.. that Mitsu was having a bit of a production line problem with the US EVOs and some delay was going to occur.

So, maybe these later shipping dates reflect that.

I just talked to my dealer yesterday and he said it would be in on Feb. 25th; and that was for Atlanta, Georgia.

That's what I'm sayin...why the hell would Mitsu ship a car to the east coast a full MONTH after the West coast? Do we honestly have to freakin sit hear and listen to people say how great their cars are for a month without seeing ours??

Ok, Chicagoland area Evo's have a ship date of 2/10. The 2nd allocation has a ship date of 3/13. These dates mean the day they leave the Tacoma, WA port of origin, where Mitsu unloads all of their ships. This means, 7-10 days from that date is when you should start seeing them arrive.

Wow, 2/10 is bad enought and we have to wait 7-10 days after that? I wonder why would work so slow to have most of the cars to arrive during March and subaru works so fast to bring the sti

Thanks for the info. Are you sure it's the ship date due at port?

The cars are sitting in Tacoma right now going through customs. That takes up to 2 weeks. If you figure they got there on 1/20, which is what the date was that the ships were arriving, that puts it at 2/10 for shipping them. Shipping something from Tacoma to Chicago/Milwaukee by Freight takes at least 7 days, give or take a couple 100 stops along the way.

It's not Mitsu that's taking so long... it's the US Government (customs) and freight travel times.

The word I got from my dealership here on Staten Island, NY is 2/25/03 from the port, but he also made me aware that this date could be less a week from this date or more than one week from this date. Considering that Staten Island is a 30 minute trip from Port Newark/Elizabeth, the date of 2/25/03 should be right on.

It's now getting really confusing. Some people dealer saying FEB13 mine said FEB 10. I thought it was the estimated arrival date not departure date from the port. So i'm assuming all evos are coming from the west coast and not from savanna or somewhere else.

I dont' understand why the dealer doesn't know if it's a departure date from port or arrival date to dealership? Anyways what i find strange is 2 cars for the first allocation and they have the RED car "one i'm getting" earlier than the yellow. They said it's expected to arrive at the dealership on the 10th and prior to today they did not have any dates on thier computer?

I understand the fact it's either coming in 2-10 or 3-13. May some car are scheduled to depart on the 2-11 thru...... depending on the truck? This will explain the different dates but i feel from 2-10 thru march seem accruate form everyone.

On their inbound inventory sheet that they have, the SHIP DATE on there is the day it leaves the port of origin... guarenteed.

Mine, says 2/10 and I live in Milwaukee. I'm guessing yours is the same, since they're not going to send 2 different shipments to Chicago and Milwaukee. Mine and yours will be on the same truck/train.

Expect yours from 2/15-2/17ish. Mine will probably get to Milwaukee around 2/17-2/20.

Our Japanese born ladies come in through Brunswick, GA.
Only our Diamantes come in through Tacoma, Washington. I guess from Austraila its closer that way. They usually show up on covered trucks because that's where Porsche's come in too and those special transporters were specifically designed for them, as well as AMG Mercedes. Some truck drivers are cool. One let me run a 911 Turbo up the street because he had to move it out of the way to get a Diamante out for us. Don't tell the guy who bought it I did it though. Didn't get a chance to pull out the AMG SL55 on another truck...but I digress.

Our EVO allocation is up to six now. Two red, one black, one yellow, one blue and one silver. But the date has been moved back to 3/15 for the earliest four to arrive. 3/28 for the other two.
