Official Mitsubishi Production Numbers Infromation

i need help locating an official document stating the 2003 Evolution VIII's limited production status. i am looking for an official mitsubishi document stating the exact production numbers for 2003. this is to help me get collectors plates in ohio to avoid the echeck as well as having to have a cat, and a front license plate. any help in locating this will be greatly appreciated.

i did a search on here and found some people who posted the numbers, unfortunately i need something from mitsubishi, not from evolutionm.net.

thank you

regardless of the plate status, it's a federal offense to remove the cat, also an offense to replace it with a non stock one under a certain mile amount ( i think 50k).

wish ya best of luck with that endevor though.

Mitsu publishes sales figures. Here's the archive:

Unfortunately, they didn't break it down my model in '03 like they do now. E.g., they only sold 539 Evos in Jan/Feb this year.

interesting, i hadn't heard that, thanks for the heads up, luckily here in ohio the cops aren't hardasses about that kind of stuff, its more for the echeck than anything else

i thought it was just an offense to replace a working cat with another one, u actually have to replace it with a stock one?

yeah same here, I have never heard that before. And some high-flow cats are advertised as 50 state legal.
