Thumbs down recent accident spree

what the hell. Is it me or everyones dropping like flies in winter?

i got in an accident not too long ago, and crap load of people got on an accident as well.

it's either that or their cars broken, especially their clutch.

I dont drive the EVO in winter, too many idiots here who think 4WD means they can do 85 in the snow AND stop on a dime (saw 6 accidents within a 3 mile stretch tonight, and its just wet, not icey!)

No problems here in not so sunny So Cal, I haven't had an accident in 15 years, my 03 EVO's clutch is grabbing pretty well since I haven't done a high RPM launch in the last 4000 miles. The syncro's are working much better, my car is tight, and nothing is broken.

Well, except for my wife's driving, two minor accidents in the past 12 months. Ouch.

I'll say, but there seems to be a recent rush of new evo owners as well so I think it's balancing out.

I spent my youth driving rwd cars w/ bald *** tires in the snow
(I was poor didn't have much choice)
so driving the EVO in the winter isn't that bad, even with the advans
guess being poor helped make me a better driver

you know, it's just so random though. that's what I'm trying to say.

it's all of a sudden happening all at the same time in march.

Is this still consider winter? People in Ga can't drive period! Whether it be ice, snow(haha yeah right), rain or just a plain beautiful sunny day, someone is going to hit somebody. I get paranoid on I75/I85.

today's car/ suv ( even minivan) just has too much power for most ppl to control it. Most ppl dont really understand all those high-tech things like the traction control, 4wd, ABS, DSC, ACS ...... etc is all about. They think all those things will make a car handle like a super car and all they have to do is drive it and the electronic will "take care" everything for them.

Just look at how many ppl spin around in their Lexus, BMW even those cars all have DSC, how many SUV crash in snow even they are 4wd, how many ppl still let their foot off when abs kick in.......

They never realize that the driver is still the most important factor.

It is a very easy thing to step on the gas but the rest of it is a total different story.

Whats going to happen is our insurance will go up. Insurance companies set rates based on "rate of claims". If a particular car has a high percentage of accidents or thefts the rates are higher. Like plokivos said there seems to be a lot of accidents and there just aint that many Evos around.
