^Not true, I've seen these "neons" own some great cars (straight line) These cares aren't jokes are definetely much more than a neon. They are capable of some good trap speeds.

WOOOOORDDD lol there are exceptions like "quicksrt4," however i'll say from my personal experience, interactions with the average srt-4 owner has not been a nice experience. Hey, it may be a stereotype, but where do you think stereotypes come from? more than a majority of people have experienced the same deal...

Sigh.... Some people just like to make an a** out of themselves. Don't let it get to you, it's not just neon drivers. I've heard of a Ferrari in LA trying to make a statement at one of the West LA mini meets. All he did was drive around the parking lot in one circle flexing the engine and then almost getting blind slighted upon his exit from his lil escapade. Ignore them. My $.02

Well you can't go wrong with the SRT-4. 20,000>dam good performance for the money. There are immature people driving in any car. Racing in traffic is lame.

I agree, power and tunability like this gives kids too much motivation to go out and buy or beg their parents. Its very doable as a kid and with all the support from mopar and dodge means low finance rates and good warranties, almost any middle class family can afford one. Its just too much for too little, and that causes problems.

Street racing is stupid, dangerous and illegal. Go to one of the local racetracks to blow off some steam.

Because of all these idiot ricer street racers, I get branded with them because I drive an EVO with a big honkin' wing and I get stopped all the time.

LOL!!! I agree also. I had some punk with an srt also tried to race me last week. i was coming out of my apartment and had to make a U-turn to get where i needed to get and he was standing at the light. all of a sudden i see a car hollin *** towards me. He gets next to me and revs and doing the stupid bov **** at me. So he steps on it and i drop the gear also. As soon as i dropped i stepped on it and i tell you, i have never smoked an srt-4 so bad from all the other ones ive raced. After that i gave him a His friend and him where laughing from what i could see in my rearview mirror. They werent laughing anymore after that!! This was in open road with no traffic just so you guys dont think i was being stupid like the other srt owner the thread starter talked about. I have frineds with srt but they are not *******s like these young punks who think they have the fastest car in the world.

so am I. I can appreciate all forms of custom cars, but it seems like here in my town, and from what I can gather from reading other posts, that there is a very high percentage of srt owners that are young punks out looking to race anything anywhere at anytime, and the example today proves another one out there.
I know that there are people in the evo's doing the same thing, but just not as many as you see in the srt's....

For the money it's a great car I cant hate on it in a straight line it can be made very fast. But the owners in my area are as stated before by others are very young and are always wanting to race.

I agree totally. There are a large amount of ignorant young kids within the SRT community trying to race everything they see, and thinking they can beat anything. I am pretty ashamed of the way they act, and they give us mature SRT owners a bad name. However, some of the guys on here act just as bad with the "still a Neon" crap. I know mine is still a Neon. A Neon that pulls 113 through the traps, but "still a Neon" nevertheless.
