I don't understand why all aftermarket BOV's flutter at partial boost or throttle!!!

Only way to not flutter is to full boost and floor it.

This is in total contrast to my Eclipse GST that had HKS SSQBOV. Now that NEVER fluttered and made awlsome "Phsssssshhh". IT kicked ****!

In my EVO, I've tried HKS VTA / Recirc, Forge VTA and now Forg Recirc - and they all FLUTTER...

and they all sounded like crap, "Phu phu..."

Only diff between two cars is bigger turbo 16g vs T25 and higher boost...I don't get it.

Only stock plastic BOV did NOT flutter, but it was slow and leaking. Anyone feel my fraustration...

I do, because I don't have an Evo yet, and I can't hear any of those noises!

Try the JDM MR valve no leaky, no flutter, and only $120.00. It works just like the stock valve but is better at holding boost.

I got the MR BOV now BUT I want the VTA sound. Most people have told me that switching to VTA will cause a lot of problems. Someone please help me. I'm thinking of getting this and the BR intake kit.

so far its been flashed with these parts: DNP header, 3" SS down pipe, 3" Apexi GT, walboro 255, MBC and T timer.

I dont really want to add an AFC or anything else with this if it's possible.

OK jackass heres what you do. You take the greddy type s and remove the smaller spring and replace with the larger one if you want the greddy sound. For HKS get the larger horn (sounds better) and look for a spring mod and you may possibly want to buy the HKS eids (this gets expensive) to control the stalling. Or do what i did, run a tial and mod it with a 15lb spring and have no problems.

If you want a loud sound put an open air filter like HKS! If you want a BOV that is better than stock and do not want problems go with JDM MR valve.

Notice a lot of ppl suggesting the MR BOV. I plan on upping the boost w/ a MBC. Can it handle the higher boost levels?

I run 21 psi and have had no problem with it holding boost. I think they are rated up to 25 psi.

When i had the rfl on my evo, it gave me so many headaches. It sounded nice but all that stalling issues. I gave up on getting a bov, and just got a bypass valve.
