Question 2005 Evo RS impressions please?

Hello I used to own a 2004 Evo VIII. I'm now thinking of getting a new 05 Evo RS. Can anyone tell me if I will notice a huge difference in power? Any experiences with 05 RS's please help. Thanks

I know a guy who traded his '03 Evo in on an '05 Evo RS.

When he took the RS to a track day he was a couple of seconds per lap slower than he had been in his old '03. He had a lot of problems with the lack of ABS causing tires to lock up while trail-braking, and he said the car was scary loose in one of the high-speed corners (probably due to the lack of wing).

On the plus side, he said he really noticed the front diff working on one the lower speed 180 degree turns. Where his old car pushed, the new one just bit and pulled him through the corner.

It was a cold day, though, so part of the time differential he experienced could have been due to the lower track temperature.

Then again, he was on R-compounds and I was running the same times as him in my '03 on street tires.
