Aight I know a good amount of **** about cars, but im not a whiz. If this dude went into 3rd trying to go into 5th then hes plain retarded. I thought he meant he trying going into 5th and it didnt go in, cause thats what happened to me a couple times, i never went into the wrong gear. Let the dealership do what it wants about the warranty, its up to them, not everyone else arguing over here.

I'm curious as to whether he went into third or just didn't get it into gear and nailed the gas. After reading his other thread, I interpreted it as him not getting it into gear and nailing the gas. If that's the case, then I think it should be covered. If he shifted into 3rd, then it's his problem. A little clarification would probably help the discussion.

Yea, people in this thread need to chill out. Anyways, I can't see how over revving will cause crankwalk, unless u just sat there and let it rev for a couple minutes. There are times when i have done that and i never had any problems. Do whatever u can to get the dealership to honor your warranty......u f***** paid a lot of $$$ to have a warranty......what a waste.

good luck!

in addition to the BBB, I would also fire off an email/snail mail to MMA and tell them what happened.

I went there last night to look at the new blue one on there lot after they were closed because they are real dicks there. I just wanted to see the new blue. I saw a silver on there with a paper on the window that says DO NOT START. I was wondering what happened to it. If this is yours I would ***** at them for having it sit outside with all the stuff that happens at that stealership. Good Luck

if the damage is not something to be likely caused under "normal driving condition" then you will be stuck.

if you do the work at a non-mitsu dealer your powertrain warranty is void.

it would help if you posted exactly what the techline says from the RO. It will be notes made by the examining tech.

Mitsu does not go out of their way to void warranties, they make money from mitsu just as they do from a paying customer.
