Hi, I am the one that posted the time on s2ki.com.

To use that 13.8 as a comparison...a stock wrx runs 14.7 at LACR.

Well considering I've seen stock Wrx's run 14.2's, I'm sure we'll see some stock Evos running 13.3 or so at a better track.

That would be nice! I got my S2000 to run 13.98 (all stock) so hopefully I am at 13.3 with proper technique.

sub 14 on a stock S2000 is pretty damn good! I have yet to see one run under 14, though I know a couple of guys that are damn close. I have to imagine the S2000 is a tough car to drive fast at the 1/4 mile track with it's odd torque curve.

I ran 2 different 13.99 and 13.98's at Maple Grove on a August evening...it wasn't super hot, but wasn't cool either.... My trap speeds were only 98mph so i thought I could get 13.8X if i tried harder but the night ended.

I was launching at about 6500rpm with almost perfect amount of spin and very little bog. I think I did run a 14.6 for my first run... i spun all the way through first and second gear.

Why are you guys surprised that the Evo could run mid 13's in the 1/4? It's not rocket science. Almost 300hp in a 32xx car = mid to low 13's. However, as I know many of you will be blasting the transmissions and clutches to pieces trying to get a car to do something that it's NOT built for. Personally, I wanna see the skid pad and various laptimes at various road course and the way it handles against he likes of a new Cobra or even a Z06.

I will not be surprised at all when people run 13.1/13.3 on a stock Evo8... the 13.8 figure floating around was the surpising number. 271 hp, >3300 lbs, awd, easy 13.5 with a ****ty driver...
