at least 2 different guys saw it run 13.8 at what is apparently a ****ty track. That is good news.

yeah, unless everyone that runs there is an idiot
I thought 13.8 seemed sorta pokey...
will be nice to get some proper tests done on the Evo... I have to think we should see some comprehensive write-ups on it pretty damn quick, as I imagine MMC is giving accsss to R&T, SCC, C&D, etc - it certainly is in their best interest to do so... free advertising, and probably cover shots.

those posts are extremely encouraging
with these guys saying that it outperformed a 911 turbo in the quarter, and that it should be low 13s on a good strip, coupled with the fact that someone posted dyno results for an evo 8 yesterday of 230 which translates to over 300 hp if you use the same drivetrain loss that the 7 had, the evo might be even more beastly than we thought
top notch

Nice!!
Averaging 99 mph and 13.8 is pretty good! Assuming the weight is about 3450, that would bring it to about 260 HP at the wheels!! Used Horsepower Calculator from the DSM Club.
Very nice!!!

Just confirms what I've been expecting.
Out of the box, performance wise, should be on par with the BMW (e46) M3 and the Porsche 911 Carerra. low 13's in the quarter mile (13.3 for the M3). Hopefully sub-five second 0-60 (the M3 is 4.6).
Great find... thanks for posting.

No, he didn't correct it! You need to read it right. He said HE SAW it run a 14.3 but that it actually ran a 13.8 that night (best run). Here is his direct wording: "Anyway they said it ran a 13.8 which means its a low 13 second card at a normal drag strip"
Once again, my corrected times stand.
