speaking of the evo 7, i think its the best looking evo out of the three. then comes the evo 9, and evo 8.

Yeah, the new bumper on the 9 is terrible. One of the coolest features of the 8 is that there is a large open space in the front where you can see the entire intercooler. This gives the front end of the car a more agressive look. the "pillars" on the front bumper of the 9 cover the ends of the intercooler resulting in a less agressive front end. The triangle on the upper bumper of the 8 counter balances the styling of the stock hood. I wouldn't make sense to have the front end of the 9 unless you plan on replacing the hood with something more complimentary to the 9's styling.

 

i prefer the 7 more than both 8 and 9; but 9 looks better than 8.

 

the holes are functional, they open up right to the IC pipes. sorry, if someone stated this already, i just saw a lot of bantering and didn't read it all. i like the evo IX front end a lot, but i'd rather be getting something else if i wanted to change the fornt end of my V///. if i had purchased an '03, i would more than likely have traded it in for the IX.

 

Evo 8 looks wayyyyyyyy better. The nine just doesn't do it for me.

 

So whos switching to the evo9 Bumper? : X .... Is it the same bolt pattern, should be?

Iam also against the pontiac front.

 

I like the way the IX looks. I think it looks more mature in the front than the VII looked. Compare the two and you will see the IX flows more and is very smooth. I also like the more pronounced "point" on the bumper, which goes better with the hood's kick-up. I like the way the emblem floats in the grill, as well.

 

your evo is wayyyyyy uglier than the 9. but then again, yours is still an evo so no problem.

 

not being a hater. it's just that the VIII's front bumper better compliments (aesthetically and functionally) the car with the use of a larger intercooler.

also, i really love the defined nose of the VIII where the mitsu emblem rests.

 

this makes no sense to me! If you buy one and do not like the holes i am sure other evo owners from 03-05 willbe more than likely happy to trade with you!

or just put something to cover up the holes if you dont like em and dont wanna trade bumpers. a duct tape will do the job

 

i am impartial to the front bumper change... but i voted yes cuz i dont hate it

although the rear bumper is stupid and should be scrapped just my opinion

 

because you dont like the jdm evo ix bumper. the us spec evo ix will share the same rear bumper with the evo 8. so isnt that even uglier?
