First off, I'd never spend $10K on my EVO. That isn't a good use of my $$$.

Second--No, I wouldn't do it blindly without knowing more. I don't mind being charitable, but just because I have $10K doesn't mean I have an obligation to assist someone else. Bad things happen to people all the time, people die all the time--how am I supposed to choose when to play god. What if there are others more deserving of the $10K and I give it to the wrong guy?
