I dunno why everyone is hung up about doluck "quality". If you look at the old post by Diesel, his had fairly poor CF weave and he ended up returning it. Looking at what is currently available in the forms of splitters/lips for the Evo, my money would be on the Autovation splitter, although I still think a better solution can be found.

What is the deal with these DO-Luck "style" front carbon lips? I have watched these threads, called the suppliers and still can't find one. In stock? Out of stock? bad fitment? waiting for 25 in April? Stopped making them because of bad construction? The list goes on and on.....
That is because these "VENDORS" are pieces of ****!!! They see a trand and force a product onto the market as fast as they can to make a quick buck. They HYPE the quality even though I bet these lips dont cost more then $20 to make, nope sorry. It has happened millions of times and will continue to do so. I do not Trust ANY VENDOR not a one, because they are trying to sell, that's it.

I'd say half the parts offered on this site are crap OR are VERY VERY overpriced just because it is an Evo.

To be fair...

I am not exactly defending them but there is two sides to the story. Try sourcing something from Japan from the USA, then try to insure quality, then try to buy it from them at a reasonable so you can make a profit when you are asking them to make 25 units at a time.......It ain't easy. But, I also think there is the problem when they go through all of that trouble to get the 25 units they want to make as much money as possible on the units they have because they are not sure if they are going to be able to get another batch. I will talk to the gent in CA today and ask a bunch of questions..

Some time it takes more than 2 month , I ordered mine at the 1st of the year and still waiting.........

this is so simple. all you have to do is spend some money making a mold, make some polyurethane lips that would fit.

after few sets, your money for mold and the work is paid for, then you could mass produce them.

nobody's doing this, because everyone thinks CF is the only way to go.

i wouldn't want CF lip, i would rather get dry molded kevlar lip or urethane lip that i could paint for cheap.

damn you, stop with your spaming for parts. goto parts, everyone is here to buy one, not to sell one.

it's not that much market? are you kidding me? if you combine european, us market and you could make more than enough for a good priced lip.

More info...

I spoke to Heru (he has photos on this thread of the Red MR) today who represents something called Import Tuner in CA. He has the DO-LUCK "style" lip in stock in fiberglass (looks like carbon) for $249.95 plus 70.00 for oversize shipping? (maybe, I ship UPS alot and it seems high even for oversize) He said he would ship asap and "take care" of me if I didn't like it or was flawed. I am willing to take a chance and test his product. He said has has sold "many" some to customers on this site and some to wholesalers. That is what I know-

PS. I don't have a scratched one for sale LOL....

My "DO"part is still sitting in my garage broken during shipping. I'm still waiting for someone to pick it up. One week ago and counting. It's going on 6 weeks from original order to cancellation. Soon I'm going to dispute the charge and throw the POS in the trash.
