Medium Level Evolution?

Has it ever struck anyone but me to wonder why Mitsubishi offers no "middle ground" on their preformance vehicles.

My first car was a lancer ES, and now I have subaru wrx... for the one reason that it is a lesser priced car then the STI but substantially more prefromance then my Lancer and the 2.5l impreza would be... It just seems like Mitsubishi should offer a "wrx" level version of the lancer/evolution... what do you guys thing?

Personally, I'm not convinced that there would be much of a market for it.

well....if you break it down, wouldnt the GSR be the mid-level car? With RS being entry and the MR being top of the line?

What they need to do is keep the RS, And GSR as is. Give the Mr options, FQ-300,320,400

Umm, as a subaru owner, I beg to differ, look at the sales of the wrx in relation to the STI, you really think the STI is outselling the wrx... and the eclipse imo is not the midlevel car as it is not the same car by any means... I mean a evolution with slower but still good preformance numbers, and a pricetag to show that....

great idea, i dont think it will happen anytime here soon though. it would be nice if they offered performance upgrades on all the evo trims (RS, GSR & MR). something like a $2K option - $10K depending on the level of power and parts installed. (you all shold understand what i mean sorry if im confusing anyone)
