depends on the dealership. search. Personally I don't think they get you for non performance modifications.

Almost all dealers wont care, that's like asking if a stereo system changes your warranty... some dealerships (few, but still) might say that they won't give you a warranty, but most won't care

Warranty service cannot be be legally voided. Only denied if the dealer can prove the modification cause the failure.....

My dealer told me if the mod, causes something to break I have to pay. He is fine with springs, catback, downpipe.

How often do you take your EVO in? I would never pay $80 for a oil change. Most of the services you can perform yourself (much cheaper). Just save your receipts. You may want to ask the service manager at the dealership you use what would void your warranty. Legally the part you added must cause the damage. That does not mean they are not going to fight you every step of the way if you come in for warranty work.

anything that is not stock is considered an alteration. An alteration voids warranty. PERIOD. Page 6 of your warranty book. This one word gets Mitsu out of anything they want. This is directly from MMSA. I have names and numbers that I can give out upon request. Unless the warranty work in question is less than 500, then it is up to the dealer's service manager, and not mitsu.

I took my catless evo in to the dealer, with cam gears exposed, tbe, mbc, boost gauge, SAFC II, and some other visually obvious stuff and got all my warranty work done, it's all about the McCarran-Ferguson Act. They have to prove that whatever the modification is, caused the problem.

80 bucks!?!?! Holy crap, that's insane, it's like 40 for me... 80 is like an oil change with Red Line Synthetic, buy the 5 qts of oil from Walmart and give it to the dealer to use, saves a crap load of money
