Don't think an exhaust leak will effect your boost.....unless the leak was between the turbo and the manifold.....

put a spacer between the 02 sensor and the exhaust pretty sure the anti foul spark plug spacer fits in there ive got a 90 like the other guy said but if you cant weld this whould be cheaper/easy

because my boost seems to be spooling and holding fine in each gear..my guess is the service light is on because of the p0300 code

no my exhaust was leaking and i didnt have any drop in boost, most people in here with a HF cat that get a P0420 code should first check for leaks, your cat might be working properly, it just that the flanges where the cat and cat-back meet might not be totally compatible and need to be double gasketed or try to find a way to bend the flanges so they meet perfectly.

Still have had a chance to check for leaks.. P0420 again today I really hope my dp isn't leaking because I had it welded to the cat.. I'll have to damn near drop the entire exhaust to take it off

Looks like where the dp meets the cat.. the ONLY place I had it welded because i screwed up my clamp and it was leaking worse.. I'll take pics of the weld.. after looking at it i'm not happy at all. I really thing I could do a better job but I don't have a welder powerful enough for exhaust work.

I'm taking pics now

Ok here are the pics.. It's hard to take decent pictures under the car but I did the best I could.. The weld looks like it has 2 holes 1 of which had some nice black crud almost dripping out

These pics were taking after I cleaned it up.. The weld doesnt look half bad for the top portion but the rest looks like a 5th grader did it.. Needless to say I'm going to take this back to get fixed asap.

and just for kicks a 100% non leaky BR bandclamp (where cat meets catback)

Yeah that's next

There is great evidence of 1 possibly 2 leaks in the welds
